N-formylmorpholine, CAS 4394-85-8, is colorless transparent liquid, soluble in water. It is not only chemically stable, non-toxic and non-corrosive, but also can dissolve aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbon and water because of its unique structure. N-formylmorpholine would largely reduce the volatility of aromatic hydrocarbon when dissolving the latter. Thus it can be used to extract, distill and recycle aromatic hydrocarbon. Besides, N-formylmorpholine, CAS 4394-85-8, is also applied in C4 (LNG) cracking project for desulfuration and extraction of solvent, which can increase the yield (relative to DMF, ACN, NMP processes). At present, this application has been adopted in China. N-formylmorpholine, CAS 4394-85-8, also enjoys application in benzene hydrogenation project.
