IPHA, shorted for N-isopropylhydroxylamine oxalate, is used as a free radiocals scavenger and reducing agent. Besides, IPHA, CAS 5080-22-8, is a corrosion inhibitor in treatment of boiled water. It is also used as terminating agent (shortstop) for free radical polymerization and monomer stabilizer. To avoid reaction oxygen, IPHA, CAS 5080-22-8, should be handed in an inert atmosphere and stored in a tightly closed container in cool places away incompatible substances.
